The city and SEGG will provide on-site information about development work and the next construction phases
Griesheim. On Tuesday (August 5), the city of Griesheim and the Griesheim Urban Development Company (SEGG) to a site visit at the construction site on Griesheimer Anger . Around 70 interested citizens took the opportunity to about the progress of the construction work and further plans on site .
Following a welcome address by Mayor Geza Krebs-Wetzl and SEGG Managing Director Jens Gottwald, project manager Erich Varnhagen led a tour of the site. Under bright sunshine, the participants gained a detailed insight into the ongoing development: Currently, underground utility lines such as water and electricity being laid, and construction roads are being built .
Construction of buildings planned to begin in autumn
To minimize disruption for local residents , construction deliveries will be made exclusively via the Anger site. The start of the above-ground construction phase planned for autumn – at which point the first buildings will be erected on the conversion site.
During the tour, Erich Varnhagen gave an overview of the future design of the various districts and explained the construction implementation steps. Following the tour, an informal exchange place with the SEGG representatives.
“The newly created living space is an opportunity for Griesheim,” emphasizes Jens Gottwald. “We are aware that construction sites also bring disruptions. That’s why we focus on transparency and personal communication to address concerns early on and find solutions.”
