Music, craft market, culinary stalls and a visit from Santa Claus
The Christmas market in the district town of Groß-Gerau invites visitors to a diverse program in the town center from December 5th to 7th. Around 25 stalls – including wineries, arts and crafts, beekeepers, and food and drink vendors – create a festive atmosphere. The twin towns of Szamotuly, Tielt, and Bruneck are also represented with their own stalls.
The opening ceremony will be performed by Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau on Friday at 5 p.m., accompanied by the brass ensemble of the Protestant Deanery of Groß-Gerau-Rüsselsheim. The band "Die Bäänd" will then play from 6 to 7 p.m.
Saturday: Activities, music and a visit from St. Nicholas
Starting at 10 a.m., the Groß-Gerau fire department will be serving hearty potato soup in front of the town hall. Additionally, the swimmers from TV Groß-Gerau will be selling homemade cookies. Around 11 a.m., St. Nicholas will visit and hand out gifts to the children.
