Anniversary program on 5 and 6 September with live music, open day and participatory activities
Groß-Gerau. The Groß-Gerau District Hospital will celebrate its 60th anniversary on Friday, September 5th, and Saturday, September 6th, 2025. An evening celebration with live music is planned, as well as an open day with interactive activities, behind-the-scenes insights, and activities for the whole family.
Nursing, medical, and support staff guide visitors through areas that are not normally accessible in everyday hospital life. Various stations feature experiments, demonstrations, and information about hospital operations. External partners such as the Groß-Gerau Volunteer Fire Department, the German Red Cross (DRK), and the DRF Air Rescue participate with information booths and hands-on activities.
"A look at the clinic's history shows how the Groß-Gerau healthcare location has evolved with the needs of its people. We are delighted to celebrate the hospital and the work of the people who work here – together with patients and people from the region," says Managing Director Prof. Erika Raab.
District Administrator Thomas Will emphasizes: "We are proud and grateful for our district hospital, which has been providing medical care to its citizens for 60 years now. With this anniversary, we celebrate its important role in providing regional services."
In addition to food and drink stands, there will be a cocktail bar. A bouncy castle and face painting will be offered for children. Admission is free on both days. Further information is available online at www.kreisklinik-gg.de .
