Anniversary program on September 5th and 6th with live music, open day and hands-on activities
Groß-Gerau. The Groß-Gerau District Hospital will celebrate its 60th anniversary on Friday, September 5th, and Saturday, September 6th, 2025. Planned events include an evening celebration with live music and an open house with interactive activities, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and events for the whole family.
Staff from nursing, medicine, and support services guide visitors through areas that are not normally accessible during the daily hospital routine. Various stations offer experiments, demonstrations, and information about hospital operations. External partners such as the Groß-Gerau volunteer fire department, the German Red Cross (DRK), and the DRF air rescue service participate with information booths and interactive activities.
“A look at the history of the clinic shows how the Groß-Gerau healthcare center has evolved to meet the needs of the people. We are delighted to celebrate the institution and the work of the individuals who have served here – together with patients and people from the region,” says Managing Director Prof. Erika Raab.
District Administrator Thomas Will emphasizes: “We are proud and grateful for our district hospital, which has been ensuring medical care for citizens for 60 years now. With this anniversary, we celebrate its important role in regional public services.”
In addition to food and drink stalls, there will be a cocktail bar. A bouncy castle and face painting will be available for children. Admission is free on both days. Further information can be found online at www.kreisklinik-gg.de .
