Tariff adjustment after more than ten years – business remains subsidized
Groß-Gerau indoor swimming pool from 2026. As the city announced, this marks the first price adjustment in over ten years. The reason for the change is significantly increased costs, particularly for energy and personnel, as well as general inflation.
In the future, a single ticket will cost €4.50 for adults and €2.90 for . A 10-ticket pass €39.00 for adults €20.00 for children and teenagers .
According to Aquapark Management GmbH, admission prices had remained stable for a very long time. Project manager Kai Steuernagel points out that despite the increase, prices remain low: compared to other parks in the region, the rates are still unbeatable. He adds that considering that general consumer prices have risen by around 30 percent in recent years, the adjustment is understandable.
What remains unchanged is that, as in many municipalities, the operation of the indoor swimming pool is not cost-covering. Even with the new tariffs, the pool will continue to be a subsidized operation, supported by municipal funds.
