Groß-Gerau invites you to a variety of events on the market square in September
In September, the market square in Groß-Gerau will be transformed into the venue for several special events. This will also result in changes to the weekly market, which will relocate to surrounding areas on two dates.
The traditional autumn market from Friday, September 12th, to Monday, September 15th, 2025. The weekly market on Saturday, September 13th , will therefore be relocated to Darmstädter Straße and Elisabethenstraße . It will be open as usual from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Just one week later, culinary life returns to the city center: From September 19th to 21st, 2025, the Street Food Festival series in the market square. Food trucks and stalls will offer a wide range of options, from burgers and vegan specialties to sweet treats. Live music and a dedicated children's area complete the program.
- Friday: 4 pm to 11 pm
- Saturday: 12 pm to 11 pm
- Sunday: 12 pm to 8 pm
Street food festival meets car show
On September 20th and 21st, the car show in the market square parking lot will complement the culinary offerings. An additional classic car exhibition at Sandböhl also draw visitors. As in 2023, the organizers of the Street Food Festival (Kai Kauermann, Stadtleben GmbH with partner organizations) and the car show (Gerhardt Arscholl) are collaborating to create a joint weekend experience.
Due to the festival, the weekly market will move to the street “Am Marktplatz” in front of the town hall and the city museum Saturday, September 20, 2025
