Six vehicles go to Gera for one euro each
“Used, but in top condition” – that’s probably how six tram trailers from Darmstadt, which HEAGmobilo has now sold to Thuringia, could be described.
Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (CDR) initially reported on the incident. HEAG also leases a tram to the city. HEAGmobilo sold six "SB9" tram trailers to Gera, Thuringia, for just one euro each. Gera Transport Company (GVB) told MDR that they were no longer needed in Darmstadt. The vehicles are needed in Thuringia because passenger numbers have steadily increased since the introduction of the Deutschlandticket (Germany Ticket).
