Six vehicles are going to Gera for one euro each
“Used, but in top condition” – that’s probably how you could describe six tram trailers from Darmstadt that HEAGmobilo has now sold to Thuringia.
The Central German Broadcasting Corporation (MDR) first reported the story. HEAG is also leasing a tram to the city. HEAGmobilo sold six "SB9" type tram trailers to Gera in Thuringia for just one euro each. The Gera transport company (GVB) told MDR that they were no longer needed in Darmstadt. Thuringia requires the trailers because passenger numbers have increased significantly since the introduction of the Germany-wide ticket.
