Cooperation between Science City Darmstadt and Caritas Center Eberstadt-Süden offers free health courses
With the pilot project "Healthy in Eberstadt," the Science City of Darmstadt a new collaborative project to promote health literacy in the Eberstadt-Süden district. The project, which began on June 1, 2025 , is being implemented in close collaboration with the Caritas Center Eberstadt-Süden and other local stakeholders. The goal is to break down barriers, raise awareness of resources, and communicate health information in a targeted manner.
The project relies on participatory approaches that focus on the needs and wishes of local people. This aims to strengthen individual and community health literacy. The project will run for one year and is supported by the Healthy City Darmstadt coordination agency .
Yoga as an introductory course in October
The project will kick off with free health courses , beginning with a yoga class in October and November . The course program is open to everyone – regardless of age or fitness level – and is designed to help bring body and mind into harmony.

- Yoga for All: Monday, October 13 and 20, 2025
- Chair Yoga: Monday, October 27, November 3, and November 11, 2025
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Location: Caritas Center Eberstadt-Süden, In der Kirchtanne 33
Cost: free of charge (registration required)
Number of participants: limited to 15 people
Note: Please bring comfortable clothing and socks.
Health promotion in everyday life
According to the organizers, yoga offers an ideal opportunity to combine relaxation and exercise in everyday life . Gentle exercises promote well-being, are easy to learn, and can be easily integrated into the daily routine.
