Beer tapping by Mayor Benz and award ceremony for the sports club
The 75th Heinerfest officially kicked off with the traditional tapping of the first keg by Mayor Hanno Benz in Karolinenplatz. The opening ceremony took place earlier in the castle courtyard, where the Hessian Theater Association was awarded the "Confessing Heiner" prize. Pleasant temperatures drew numerous visitors to the city center to celebrate the start of the anniversary festival. Over 200 vendors and more than 130 events will ensure a vibrant and diverse Heinerfest in the coming days.
