County council chair and district administrator swear in new honorary deputy mayor
In the Groß-Gerau district, Heinrich Adler has been sworn in as the new honorary district councilor. At the beginning of the meeting of the environmental committee on Tuesday evening, district council chairwoman Renate Meixner-Römer and district administrator Thomas Will swore him in, obligating him to conscientiously fulfill his duties.
Adler succeeds Hannelore Keilig, who resigned her mandate in the district committee at the end of 2025 for personal reasons.
Thank you for your many years of dedication
Both Heinrich Adler and Hannelore Keilig had been members of the Groß-Gerau district council for the CDU since 1997. Keilig served on the district committee from 2011 to 2025. District Administrator Thomas Will praised their commitment and highlighted their calm and composed working style.
The district administrator presented the new deputy district administrator with his certificate of appointment. During his time on the district council, Adler was primarily active on the regional committee. He now brings his local political experience from Gernsheim and the Groß-Gerau district to the district committee.
His term of office is initially limited to the remaining duration of the current legislative period. The local elections will take place on March 15th.
