Renewal of approximately 70 large signs to improve road safety
In the coming weeks, Hessen Mobil will be carrying out extensive work to renew the wayfinding signage in southern Hesse. This will particularly affect arrow signs, tabular signs, and advance direction signs along roads and cycle paths.
A total of around 70 large signs are to be replaced. The reasons for the replacement are varied: accident damage, theft, age-related deterioration of visibility, new traffic patterns, and changed safety regulations.
The work will be carried out as part of daytime roadworks. This may result in temporary lane closures in some areas. Hessen Mobil requests that all road users exercise particular caution to ensure the safety of the road maintenance crews and the contracted specialist companies.
