The chanson evening “The Rose of the Ku'damm” commemorates the great artist
The Dotter family's concert series invites you to a musical evening in honor of Hildegard Knef on Saturday, August 22nd , at the Ernst-Ludwig-Saal in Darmstadt-Eberstadt. Under the title "The Rose of the Ku'damm," actress and singer Carola Moritz and pianist Stanislav Rosenberg will present a tribute to the actress, singer, and author.
The concert traces the artist's life journey – from her beginnings in post-war Berlin through her time in Hollywood to her successes on Broadway and as a chanson interpreter.
Famous chansons and musical classics
The program includes well-known titles such as "Für mich soll's rote Rosen regnen" and "Von nun an ging's bergab". The evening is complemented by Cole Porter adaptations as well as excerpts from the musicals "Silk Stockings" and "Cabaret", which recall Hildegard Knef's international stage career.
The event is being held to mark the 99th birthday of Marie Elfriede Dotter and is part of the South Hesse Cultural Summer.

According to the organizer, the 79th Dotter concert is already sold out. Any returned tickets will be at the box office, subject to availability .
