The best images will be presented as part of the exhibition.

Curator determines the cloud types
The submitted photos will be reviewed and classified by Dr. Daniela Matenaar, curator of the exhibition. Visitors will thus not only receive a platform for their sky photographs, but also expert information on the respective cloud types.
The selected images will be presented on two levels starting on August 22, 2025 :
- On-site at the museum: in a specially designed peephole installation, inspired by nostalgic panoramic boxes.
- Online in a virtual "cloud gallery" on the HLMD website.
Preview of the exhibition “Clouds. Experience and Understand”
The exhibition offers a multimedia journey through the world of clouds. The focus is on spectacular weather phenomena, 3D models, scientific exhibits , and an interactive experiment on cloud formation. The aim is to make complex meteorological processes understandable and to explain the diversity of cloud types in an accessible way. Visitors can try their hand at being "cloud explorers" and experience how dynamic processes in the sky influence our climate.
