Holiday program, special tours and Grandstag in HLMD
Darmstadt. The Hessian State Museum Darmstadt (HLMD) offers a varied program for all age groups in August 2025. A lot is offered for summer vacation campaigns for children to exciting special tours for adults to the popular Grand Parents' Day

On Saturday, August 30th, the HLMD grandparents with grandchildren between 4 and 12 years invites you to a special museum day. reduced entry of 5 euros per person applies to these groups of visitors . The event offers the opportunity to make cultural discoveries together.
Creative holiday workshop for children: cold needle etching
As part of the summer holidays, a workshop for cold needing place Thursday, August 7 , from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Under the guidance of Sophie Ruf, MA , children get to know the creative process of the printing process step by step - from the choice of motif to dealing with a salt needle and zinc plate to their own pressure.
Cost: 15 euros per person, reduced 12 euros, family app Hessen 13.50 euros.

Tandem guide: Zoo architecture in change
On Wednesday, August 20 , from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. , Frederik Linti (Zoo Vivarium) and Dr. Stephanie Hauschild through the exhibition - with a focus on the change of architectural concepts in zoos.
Costs: 4 euro management fee plus admission, max. 20 people
Mass year 2025: Fossil tour on August 27th
For the 30th anniversary of the UNESCO anniversary of the Messel Grube, a tour with Dipl.-Geol will take place on Wednesday, August 27 , from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Marco Kollbacher took place through the fossil collection.
Costs: 4 euro management fee plus admission, max. 25 people
