Guided tours, lectures and activities for children, families and culture enthusiasts
In June 2025, the Hessian State Museum Darmstadt invites visitors to explore, learn, and participate in a diverse program of events. In addition to creative activities for children and families, the program includes exciting guided tours and a lecture on the ethnographic collection of Baron von Hüpsch. Highlights include Grandparents' Day, a guided tour of the current special exhibition featuring photographs by Candida Höfer, and the event "With Dinkeltaler to the Knights"—a museum education tour for the youngest visitors.
All guided tours are free; only the regular museum admission for adults applies. Tickets are available at the museum ticket office on the day of the event, unless otherwise stated.
