Specialist advice helps with the employment of people with disabilities
The IHK Darmstadt Rhein Main Neckar now offers specialist advice for inclusion . The aim is to support employment and employment of people with disabilities The background is the increasing shortage of skilled workers, which focuses more on previously unused potential.
In cooperation with the State Welfare Association (LWV) Hessen, two inclusion consultants - Nicole Splinter and Lucy Singer - are now available as a contact point. Advice on funding and accessibility
According to Dr. Marcel Walter, Head of Department and Continuing Education of the IHK Darmstadt, have so far been perceived by people with disabilities too rarely as specialists. They would "often convince with high motivation, loyalty and reliability". The new advice center wants to reduce prejudices and open up skilled workers .
According to the IHK, many companies do not know that they financial aid for the employment of people with disabilities, such as grants for technical work aids or grants for accessibility . In addition, the legally required compensation tax if they occupy at least five percent of their jobs with severely disabled people.
The project is part of the nationwide specialist advice for the LWV Hessen. In addition to the IHK Darmstadt, further industrial and craft chambers are involved. The LWV Hessen sees this an important step to support companies in a practical way and increase the proportion of inclusive jobs.
