New opening hours from October 11th – guided tours and Mathildenhöhe Card on offer
The Mathildenhöhe information point is changing locations after the end of the summer season. From Saturday, October 11, 2025, it will be located in the Große Haus Glückert (Alexandraweg 23). The information point will be open to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note that the building is not wheelchair accessible.

Transitional arrangements for German Unity Day
On German Unity Day , Friday, October 3rd, the information point on Olbrichweg, between the Wedding Tower and Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, October 4th, it will close at 3:30 p.m. Regular opening hours apply on Sunday, October 5th.
Mathildenhöhe Card
The information point offers general information, tickets for guided tours, and the Mathildenhöhe Card . This card includes:
- Use of all public transport within the city of Darmstadt (fare zone 4000)
- Entry to the exhibition “Nevin Aladağ – Raise the Roof”
- Entrance to the Darmstadt Artists' Colony Museum
- Access to the Wedding Tower
The ticket costs 15 euros per person and is available as a day ticket.
Guided tours on the Mathildenhöhe
Guided tours of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mathildenhöhe take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 AM (until the end of October), 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM. The tours last 90 minutes. Until October 10th, the meeting point is at the information point on Olbrichweg; thereafter, it is at the north entrance of the Museum Künstlerkolonie Darmstadt (Olbrichweg 13a). The cost is €14.50 (€11.00 reduced). The 2:00 PM tour on Saturdays is also offered in English.
Museum Artists' Colony and Exhibition Nevin Aladağ
The Artists' Colony Museum in the Ernst Ludwig House offers a public guided tour every Sunday at 1 p.m. Participation fee: Museum admission (€5, concessions €3) plus €3.
Guided tours of the exhibition “Nevin Aladağ – Raise the Roof” run until February 1, 2026, on Saturdays at 3 pm and Sundays at 12 pm. The meeting point is at the museum ticket office; the tour lasts 60 minutes.
In addition, there are special guided tours "From the roof to the cellar – sound installation in the water reservoir" on Saturdays at 4:30 pm and Sundays at 4 pm. The meeting point is in front of the exhibition building at Sabaisplatz.
