Digital tips and materials for better health protection at high temperatures
Bergstraße District. Prolonged heat can become a serious burden – especially for the elderly, young children, and those requiring care. To better protect the population, the Bergstraße District has launched a digital information portal on heat protection . It is part of the heat action plan developed by the district administration in cooperation with various partners.
District Administrator Christian Engelhardt emphasizes that the region must prepare for increasingly frequent heat waves: “Weather events unfamiliar to us, such as this year’s heat wave, will occur more often in the future. We can learn from countries in southern Europe in this regard.” First Deputy District Administrator Angelika Beckenbach adds: “The information portal is intended to provide sound information so that people in the district can protect themselves as best as possible from health risks – especially vulnerable groups.”
