Event content
In addition to scientifically sound information on risks, side effects and possible long-term consequences of current consumer trends, there is room for questions, discussion and professional exchange.
The event will be opened by Mayor Barbara Akdeniz (City of Science Darmstadt) and the Social and Youth Affairs Officer of the Darmstadt-Dieburg district, Christel Sprößler .
Sprößler emphasizes: “The great success of the event in June showed that such formats strike a chord. Exchanging information about consumption trends is not only a central element of addiction prevention, but also part of the new concept for nitrous oxide prevention in the district. Education is crucial – only when young people, parents and professionals are informed can we address risks early on.”
Mayor Akdeniz also emphasizes the responsibility: “As municipalities, we bear a central responsibility for protecting the health of young people. The enacted ban on nitrous oxide is an important step. Especially with new consumption trends, we cannot turn a blind eye. Prevention is not optional, but essential.”
