The Arbeiterwohlfahrt (Workers' Welfare Association) invites you to the Herrgartencafé on August 23rd
The Arbeiterwohlfahrt Darmstadt invites you to an intergenerational discussion on the topic of democracy at the Herrgartencafé on August 23rd from 7 pm.
Democracy as seen through the eyes of different generations
Democracy is experienced differently by each generation. The post-war generation has a different perspective on its time than today's working population or young people who face a highly uncertain future. At this event, people of different ages come together to share personal stories and experiences, as well as exchange ideas and perspectives.
Participants in the discussion
- Sabine Seidler : A child of war and a member of the '68 generation, she studied in Berlin from 1963 onwards. She was a judge at the Darmstadt Administrative Court, chairwoman of the parliamentary group in the city council, and was involved in numerous honorary positions.
- Canan Dursin : Born in 1986, she studied German language and literature, now works in university administration, and is involved in a parents' initiative in Darmstadt. Her parents are from Turkey and Albania.
- Armin Alizadeh : Born in 1994, he was a member of the Federal Executive Committee of the Young Socialists' university groups and a member of the SPD party executive committee. Today, he works as a business informatics specialist researching the digital transformation of work.
