Migrant associations in focus
With this year's focus, the city aims to draw attention to the work of migrant associations and initiatives. These organizations are active in providing advice, mediation, and support, and represent the interests of their respective communities, explained Mayor Benz.
“Migrant associations and initiatives are important actors in Darmstadt’s civic society and volunteer work,” said Benz. In his view, they contribute to social dialogue and cohesion. At the same time, he positioned himself against exclusionary, xenophobic, and anti-democratic tendencies. Darmstadt, City of Science
