State authority presents career prospects – great interest in regional planning, environment and nature conservation
Over 100 visitors attended the second job fair hosted by the Darmstadt Regional Council (RP) to learn about potential career opportunities within the state authority. Students, recent graduates, and career changers came to the Wilhelminenhaus in Darmstadt to speak directly with employees from various departments.
Five of the eight departments of the Regional Council presented their diverse fields of work – including regional planning, construction, transport, environment, forestry, agriculture, and consumer protection . With more than 16 participating specialist areas, the event offered a broad range of topics. The keynote speeches , some being so well-attended that even the overflow room, designed for 25 people, was insufficient.
Insights into over 5,000 tasks
Regional President Prof. Dr. Jan Hilligardt personally welcomed the participants:
“Today you have the opportunity to learn about the job and career opportunities in our organization in a clear and engaging way. I hope to see you again soon as new colleagues.”
5,000 tasks in southern Hesse – from waste management law to zoo supervision – and sees itself as an interface between the municipal and state levels. The second edition of its in-house job fair offered direct insights into the working environment of the authority and highlighted the diverse range of career opportunities in the public sector .
