Silent wreath-laying ceremony on September 21st at the Old Cemetery
DARMSTADT – September 21, 2025, marks the 65th anniversary Julius Reiber lay a wreath Old Cemetery
Reiber served as acting mayor of Darmstadt from 1945 to 1946 and played a key role in the city's reconstruction in the immediate post-war period. His commitment to education and democracy is still highly regarded today.
For his services, Julius Reiber received the Grand Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany . In Darmstadt, Julius-Reiber-Straße and an oak tree in the Herrngarten park his work.
