Youth magazine in the Groß-Gerau district celebrates its printed premiere
The city of Groß-Gerau has announced that the youth magazine JUMA22 has been published in print for the first time. The editorial team, comprised of young journalists from the Groß-Gerau district, has been publishing articles on juma22.de for years – now a selection of these works is available as a magazine.
Printed premiere and praise from the town hall
At a ceremony in the Anne Frank Youth Center, Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau praised the young editorial team's dedication. He said the project was a powerful example of democracy in action and something that can no longer be taken for granted:
"I think it's fantastic that there's now a printed version, I offer my heartfelt congratulations and wish them continued success and good work."
Participation project for young people in the Groß-Gerau district
JUMA22 is a joint project of the Groß-Gerau district youth services/youth education center, the Groß-Gerau municipal youth services, and the Bischofsheim youth welfare office. Young people between the ages of twelve and twenty-six can participate – no journalistic experience is required. The focus is on topics related to leisure, society, and local affairs, written by young people for young people.
