Erfelden supermarket supports facility with 750 euros
According to the city of Riedstadt, the Sonnenschein daycare center was delighted to receive a donation from the Rewe supermarket in Erfelden. Nine children from the center, ages three to six, along with deputy director Francesca Vulpetti and kindergarten teacher Jennifer Wagner, visited store manager Timo Müller and his deputy Jan Riedinger.
At the supermarket, the team not only presented a symbolic check for 750 euros, but also provided the children with drinks and sweets.
The money comes from the revenue generated by customers using the restrooms, who pay 50 cents each. "We decided several years ago to donate the money generated this way to social causes in Riedstadt," explained Timo Müller.
With the donation, the Sonnenschein daycare center will purchase a new children's vehicle as well as accessories for the children's group's Kapla building blocks.
