A new daycare center with nursery and kindergarten places will open in Griesheim on August 11, 2025
Griesheim. Good news for families in the southwest residential area: The new daycare center on Sophie-Scholl-Straße is nearing its opening. The building is fully equipped and ready for occupancy. Only final touches are currently being made to the interior and exterior.
The outdoor area is also taking shape: The playground equipment has been installed, and the final work is currently being carried out with the support of the municipal building yard.
The daycare center's management team has been in office for several months. During this time, they have not only developed organizational processes but also overseen the acquisition of equipment and hired pedagogical staff.
Starting with three groups from August
On August 11, 2025, two nursery groups and one kindergarten group will initially open. The first six children in the nursery will be welcomed on that day. After the settling-in period, further children will be gradually admitted .
According to the city administration, the legally required number of qualified educational staff is available.
The new facility further expands the childcare services available in Griesheim – a significant step towards family-friendliness and early childhood education.
