Songs, chansons and music about the body
The artist duo brings the small and large sufferings of the body to the stage with a unique musical program – inspired by Ralph Dillmann's own experiences with hospital and rehabilitation.
Whether it's a knee or a hip – in the daily routine of a hospital, everyone seems to have their own, often even more complicated, handicap. These observations are the starting point for an evening that humorously, poetically, and musically explores the human body. A surprisingly large number of songs and chansons are dedicated to body parts, physical experiences, but also heartbreak and sensuality. Besides everyday aches and pains, there's plenty of laughter to be had as well.
The program combines classics from the 1920s with cheeky chansons by Georg Kreisler and Bodo Wartke. A musical "therapy" medley of Friedrich Hollaender and György Ligeti might also have an unexpected effect. An evening full of charm, depth, and humorous lightness.
