Kick-off on November 11, 2025 with the Christian Spohn Trio
The Keller-Klub Darmstadt is launching a new format in November: KULTURKÜCHE (Culture Kitchen) . Once a month, music and culinary delights will combine to create a unique experience. Between 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm, guests can enjoy Spanish specialties while relaxing and listening to live jazz – without the usual concert protocol.
"Eat, drink, listen, and talk – anything goes, nothing is obligatory," is how the organizer describes the concept. The focus is on jazz classics , which are as easy to digest as the Mediterranean cuisine of the cellar club. Musical direction is provided by Darmstadt bassist Christian Spohn , who assembles new jazz ensembles for each event.
The opening concert on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 , will feature the Christian Spohn Trio in its classic lineup with Uli Bareiss (piano) and Axel Pape (drums). The trio will present well-known pieces from swing, Latin, and modern jazz – soulful, stylish, and with palpable joy in playing.
