Conversation with art experts on June 5th / guitar concert on June 6th / preview on piano evening with Steffen Schleiermacher
"Burned up. Painting, poetry and new music from the GDR" seen in the Kunsthalle Darmstadt until June 29, 2025 In the supporting program, the Kunsthalle invites you to a conversation evening with prominent voices of the East German art scene Wednesday, June 5 , at 7 p.m.
The director of the Kunsthalle and curator of the exhibition, Dr. León Krempel , speaks to the cultural historian Hans-Peter Lühr , the art historian Christoph Tannert and the painter Hubertus Giebe , of whom works are shown in the exhibition. Also included is the writer Kurt Drawert , who was born in the GDR and now lives in Darmstadt. He curated the lyrical part of the exhibition. The topic of the evening is the cultural spirit of optimism in the 1980s in the GDR . The regular admission prices apply to the event for the event.
A day later, on Friday, June 6th , the Kunsthalle invites you to the last evening of the "First Friday" before the summer break. In cooperation with the Academy of Tonkunst , four students of the guitar classes under the direction of Prof. Dr. Tilman Hoppstock and Jesse Flowers Works by Johann Sebastian Bach , Tilman Hoppstock , Dionisio Aguado and Leo Brouwer . Admission is free.
Preview: On Wednesday, June 19 , a moderated piano evening with the composer Steffen Schleiermacher place 7 p.m.
