Construction work is delayed – full closure still necessary
Hessen Mobil reports that the construction work on state road L 3100 in Seeheim-Jugenheim is taking longer than originally planned. The current construction phase is now expected to be completed by the end of April.
Delays due to weather and additional work
The affected area is between the access road to the local fire station and the junction with Bahnhofstrasse. The delay is primarily due to unfavorable weather conditions in recent months and additional work on utility lines.
The section will remain completely closed until the construction work is completed.
Detours will remain in place
Through traffic will continue to be routed around Jugenheim via the B3 federal highway. Local traffic will be diverted via Ludwigstraße, Hauptstraße, and Alte Bergstraße.
Access to the fire station from the south remains possible.
Next construction phase planned
Following the completion of the current work, the renovation will continue in the next section. This extends from the fire department access road to the junction with the main road (K 146) and is expected to take approximately seven months to complete.
Extensive renovation until 2027
The L 3100 roadway will be completely resurfaced over a length of approximately 1.1 kilometers. The work will be carried out in five phases, requiring full road closures, and is expected to last until summer 2027.
In addition to the roadway, sidewalks, drainage systems, and utility lines will also be renewed. Furthermore, the construction of a traffic island at the town's exit towards Alsbach is planned.
The total cost of the project amounts to approximately 5.8 million euros.
