The complete closure remains in place – road resurfacing planned until 2027
Road resurfacing work on state highway L 3100 in the town of Seeheim-Jugenheim is delayed. Hessen Mobil reports that the current phase of construction is now expected to be completed by the end of April 2026.
Weather and additional work are slowing construction progress
The current construction phase extends from the access road to the fire station to beyond the junction with Bahnhofstrasse. The originally planned schedule could not be met due to unfavorable weather conditions in February and March, as well as additional work on utility lines.
The area remains completely closed off.
Detours will remain in place
Through traffic will continue to be routed around Jugenheim via the B3 federal highway. A local detour is in place for residents via Ludwigstraße, Hauptstraße, and Alte Bergstraße.
Access to the fire station remains possible from the south.
Next construction phase follows
Once the current work is completed, the next phase will begin, between the fire department access road and the junction with the main road. This phase is expected to take approximately seven months to complete.
Extensive renovation until 2027
The entire project covers a stretch of approximately 1.1 kilometers from the southern entrance to the Landbach stream. The work will be carried out in five phases under full road closure and is expected to last until summer 2027.
In addition to the complete renewal of the road surface, sidewalks, drainage systems, and utility lines will also be modernized. Furthermore, the construction of a median strip is planned.
The total cost of the project amounts to approximately 5.8 million euros, distributed between the state, the municipality and utility companies.
