Books, CDs, DVDs and more on August 30th around the Datterich Fountain
DARMSTADT – On Saturday, August 30, 2025 , the Darmstadt City Library invites you to a large media flea market . From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors can browse a wide selection of items at the entrance to the old town area around the Datterich Fountain .
The collection includes novels, non-fiction books, children's books, comics, DVDs and Blu-rays, audiobooks, magazines, and music CDs – both items the library has withdrawn from circulation and numerous donated titles. There's something for every age group.
In case of bad weather, the event will be moved to the magazine section of the city library .
Support for reading promotion
The city library team requests a voluntary donation starting from €1 . The proceeds will be used to purchase frequently requested titles and to reading promotion .
