Lower nature conservation authority will inform about flying insects on June 2 and the correct handling
What to do if there is a wasp nest at the house or hornet moves into the garden? In order to create more understanding of these often misunderstood animals and reduce possible fears, the Lower Nature Conservation Authority of the Groß-Gerau district invites you to a free lecture in the Georg Büchner Hall of the district office Monday, June 2, 2025 .
Speaker Brigitte Martin will clearly explain how wasps, hornets and other flying insects live, why they are so important for the ecosystem and how to behave best for encounters - without endangering yourself or the animals. Particular attention is also paid to dealing with the Asian hornet.
The event is aimed at all citizens who want to learn more about living with wasps and hornets. Registrations are possible online by Friday, May 30 , via the website of the lower nature conservation authority ( www.kreirgg.de/umwelt/naturschutz ) or by phone at 06152 989-85755 (Bianca Lukas) .
