Further city network is growing - support for children on the way to school
In Gräfenhausen there is a new contact point for children in emergencies: the Grafen pharmacy , Darmstädter Landstraße 51, is now part of the network of Leon aid islands . This now also offers a publicly accessible place in this area help for children who feel unsafe or need support - for example because the bus has been missed or the cell phone battery is empty.
Leon project strengthens security on the way to school
Many children - alone or with their parents - pass the pharmacy on the way to primary school or to the sports facilities every day. Pharmacist Ebrahim Fallehy and his team want to actively contribute to the fact that children in their area feel safe:
"We are happy to be part of this project," said employee Nina Schäfer .
Leon aid islands can be seen on a clearly visible poster with Leon. Children know where they find quick help in unpleasant or stressful situations.
Cooperation between the police and municipalities
The project is a cooperation between the Hesse police with numerous municipalities . , 36 shops, daycare centers, pharmacies and other facilities are currently participating in the network - in the core city and in all parts of the city. The aim is to offer children a safe refuge, promote self -confidence and civil courage and to strengthen the feeling of security of families.
