Flute and guitar in the duo Amabile – a look back at the partnership with Liepaja
The Darmstadt Initiative for Liepaja and the German-Baltic Society continued their long-standing cooperation with a special cultural event at the House of German-Baltic People. The focus was on a musical highlight with the duo Amabile, as well as a look back at almost 30 years of partnership with the Latvian city of Liepaja – a future European Capital of Culture.
New brochure and review of successful town twinning
Dagmar Metzger, chairwoman of the Liepaja Initiative, opened the event with a brief welcome address. She presented the association's newly published brochure, which chronologically reports on projects, encounters, and group trips since 1996. "We thank the Baltic Germans for this opportunity and hope to welcome new members to help with the diverse tasks, including maintaining our networks," said Metzger.
