Holger Wagner explains changes in the art and design of gravestones
On Sunday, May 11, 2025, the Parks and Green Spaces Department of the City of Darmstadt invites you to a free guided tour of the Old Cemetery. The tour begins at 11:00 a.m. at the main entrance (Herdweg 105). Holger Wagner from the Parks and Green Spaces Department will provide insights into the historical development of funerary art and design in this traditional cemetery.
The guided tour lasts approximately two hours and is wheelchair accessible. For organizational reasons, the number of participants is limited to 20. Registration by phone is required and can be done during the office hours of the Parks Department (Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) at +49 6151 13-2900.
