Hessen Mobil announces a complete closure from April 7th to 10th
Due to routine maintenance work, the Lohberg Tunnel on the B 426 federal highway near Darmstadt will be completely closed at night from Tuesday, April 7th, to Friday, April 10th, 2026. This was announced by Hessen Mobil.
Closure during nighttime hours
The complete closure is in effect from approximately 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. During this period, cleaning, maintenance work, and functional tests of the tunnel technology will be carried out.
Detours are signposted
Detours will be set up for traffic:
- Towards Darmstadt: via the B 449 federal highway
- Towards Ober-Ramstadt: via Waschenbach (K 138), Frankenhausen (K 137) and Nieder-Modau (L 3099)
Road users are asked to observe the signposted diversions.
