Sixth energy competition in the Groß-Gerau district
Ulrich Rein, 2021 winner at the district's energy competition, built a low -energy house for himself and his family around 18 years ago. So far so good - but not good enough for Ulrich.
In the following years, the family has further developed the house to the energy plus building: the insulation has been reinforced, the washing machine is heated solar, the toilet works with rainwater. There are also two small heat pumps and much more. Ulrich Rein says: “With the steadily growing climate protection awareness, our ambition was awakened to further improve our personal footprint. It's great that the circle makes good projects visible with the competition. "
In 2013 there was the first energy competition of the Groß-Gerau district for citizens, citizens and companies. In the first five competitions, 18 private individuals or groups were awarded and 10 companies or institutions. The sixth competition is now taking place this year. He is aimed at people who go ahead. Great contributions have been received in recent years: private individuals have applied to their residential buildings with smaller and larger energetic measures. At companies z. B. geothermal energy, photovoltaics and sustainable mobility.
This year, projects from the areas of energy saving, energy efficiency and renewable energies can also be submitted. In addition, climate protection projects are expressly desired.
