Action day for girls from 6 years of age with play, creativity and participation
to the girl*garden in the Herrngarten on Friday, June 13 , 2025 . The event takes place at the active playground and is aimed at girls from 6 years *. The day of action is organized for the 21st time by the girls working group (M AK) in cooperation with the child and youth promotion of the youth welfare office .
Under this year's motto "We can do everything!" the girl*garden offers a free program with creative, movement -oriented and informative offers. The aim is to strengthen girls in their self -efficacy and create spaces for encounter and participation.
The girl's garden is opened by Mayor Barbara Akdeniz , who emphasizes the longstanding commitment:
"The girl's garden has been a place of encounter for over two decades where girls can try, strengthen and develop. Empowerment not only means to participate, but also help shape it - an important contribution to a fairer and diverse urban society."
The highlights of the afternoon include a movement and manual course that promotes strength and skill, as well as offers such as:
- The mobile bicycle kitchen "Schnibbel sled" from Foodsharing
- A large bouncy pillow
- The popular "Heinerinnen-Quiz" *
- Glitzer tattoos and other hands-on activities
In addition, the new youthplenum Darmstadt the information tent . It is a participation format for which young people are called candidacy in the election in September
All offers are looked after by educational specialists from the girls working group. Food and drinks are free of charge , and a separate lounge is available for accompanying persons. Registration is not required - girls can just come by, participate and fortify themselves.
