Members elect successor to Rüdiger Fritsch – club reports profit
Darmstadt. SV Darmstadt 98 has a new president: Markus Pfitzner unanimously by the at the annual general meeting on October 21. The 56-year-old Darmstadt native has been a member of the board since 2010 and succeeds Rüdiger Fritsch , who did not seek re-election after 13 years in office.
Fritsch and Wolfgang Arnold honorary membership for their services . Arnold was also honorary chairman of the board of the sports departments and the fan and supporter department.
New Executive Board confirmed
In addition to Pfitzner, Anne Baumann (Finance) and Volker Harr (Vice President) were re-elected. Roy Reinelt-Peter will succeed Wolfgang Arnold as head of the sports department, while Arnd Zinnhardt completes the executive committee as another vice president. All candidates were unanimously .
"I would like to thank all members for their great trust," Pfitzner said after his election. "We want to secure the future viability of the association, preserve what we have achieved, and continue to develop it. My thanks go to Rüdiger and Wolfgang for their many years of trusting cooperation."
Club with positive annual result
SV 98 can also draw a successful financial balance sheet: In the financial year from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, the club generated a profit of €3.58 million after taxes . Club assets increased to €26.11 million , with total revenues of €49.43 million .
At the suggestion of the sports departments, the contribution for active sports participants was also adjusted .
