Darmstadt Tourism informs: Information point returns to Olbrichweg from Easter – Mathildenhöhe Card, public guided tours and exhibition “4-3-2-1 Darmstadt”
Just in time for the Easter weekend and the start of the summer season, the information point at Mathildenhöhe is moving back to its original location on Olbrichweg. Visitors will once again find the central information point for the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt between the Wedding Tower and Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences – directly on the north side of the exhibition building. The information point is wheelchair accessible.
During the winter months, the information point was housed in the historically renovated Glückert House. Mayor Hanno Benz praised the temporary relocation: “The Glückert House is the most important artists' residence on the Mathildenhöhe. Many visitors used the information point to get to know the historic building. The ground floor will continue to be open for guided tours in the future – for example, on German World Heritage Day on June 1st.”
Opening hours of the information point
- Saturday & Sunday: 10 am to 5 pm
- Easter Monday (April 21): also open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The information point is the starting point for guided tours and a sales point for tickets as well as the popular Mathildenhöhe Card , which offers numerous advantages for visitors.
