Formal inauguration in Reinheim with thanks and clear plans for the future
Mayor Manuel Feick was officially sworn in for his second term at a ceremony at the end of August. Numerous representatives from politics, associations, and administration, as well as many citizens, attended the celebration.
Thanks to family, employees and citizens
In his address, Feick emphasized his gratitude for the support received over the past years. "Without your loyalty, your trust, and your help, this fantastic result would not have been possible," said the mayor. He particularly highlighted the role of his family, the staff at the town hall, and the many volunteers.
Challenges and goals
Feick made it clear that he did not see his second term as routine, but as a "conscious commitment." He then outlined the upcoming tasks:
- Ensuring financial stability,
- Investments in education, infrastructure and climate adaptation,
- as well as the protection of a vibrant democratic culture of debate.
“Honesty before sugarcoating – that’s what you’re used to, and you can rely on it,” Feick explained. At the same time, he announced that he would continue to focus on being close to the citizens – through direct conversations at markets, in clubs, at neighborhood meetings, and during personal office hours.
"Being mayor is my dream job"
In closing his speech, Feick focused on the people: "Being mayor is and will remain my dream job. Because what makes our city special is not the buildings or the streets – it's the people."
