32 clubs and organizations receive support – the largest single donation goes to the Dementia Forum Darmstadt
Making a big difference with small amounts: The Merck Round-Up Campaign has once again achieved an impressive result in its 36th year. A total of €112,200 raised – thanks to the voluntary donations of employees and retirees who waived the remaining amounts of their salary or pension payments. Merck is doubling the amount, thus enabling valuable support for 32 non-profit associations and organizations in the region.
“The donations are only a small amount for each individual – but together they add up to a lot. This year, a record sum, with which we can achieve a great deal,” explains Matthias Bürk , site manager of Merck in Darmstadt. “Our special thanks go to everyone who supports this campaign.”
Focus on regional engagement

The Dementia Forum Darmstadt , receiving a donation of €10,000 . The money will be used to equip a community kitchen in the newly established "Memory House" meeting center in the Martinsviertel district.
Diversity of funded projects
The supported organizations cover a broad spectrum of social engagement – from children's and youth work to culture, education and inclusion, as well as fire brigades and disaster relief . Daycare centers, hospices and environmental protection initiatives are also among the recipients.

- Klingen Fire Department : 7,000 euros
- Rüsselbande Bessungen Support Association : 6,200 euros
- Ubuntu Darmstadt : 5,000 euros
- AWO Darmstadt : 4,500 euros
- Babenhausen Brass Band : 4,000 euros
- DLRG Gräfenhausen : 3,300 euros
- German Red Cross local branch Lautertal : 3,300 euros
- Hofgut Oberfeld Foundation : 3,300 euros

Symbolic check for the Dementia Forum Darmstadt
On behalf of all recipients, Tatjana Kießling-Wirth , Managing Director of DemenzForumDarmstadt, accepted the symbolic donation check. It was presented by Stefanie Sanojca , Head of Headquarters Marketing & Dialogue at Merck.
“The association’s chat bench, the support for families with dementia and the establishment of a new meeting place in the heart of Darmstadt exemplify how social commitment is put into practice,” said Merck site manager Bürk.
