32 clubs and organizations receive support - the highest individual donation goes to the Demenzforumdarmstadt
With small amounts, the Merck Rest cent campaign has again achieved an impressive result in its 36th round. 112,200 euros came together- thanks to the voluntary donations of employees and pensioners who do not pay for the remaining amounts of their pay or pension payment. Merck doubles the sum and thus enables valuable support for 32 non -profit organizations and organizations in the region.
"The donations are only a small amount for the individual - but together a lot comes together. This year a record sum with which we can do a lot," explains Matthias Bürk , site manager of Merck in Darmstadt. "Our special thanks go to everyone who supports this campaign."
Focus on regional engagement
Organizations were able to apply for funding on the website www.merck-foerdert.de According to Merck, this year's record sum reflects the high quality of the projects submitted. Demenzforumdarmstadt , which was considered donation of 10,000 euros was particularly emphasized The money is to be used to equip a hands-on kitchen in the newly created “Memory House” meeting center in the Martinsviertel.

Symbolic check for the dementia forum domest
On behalf of all recipients, Tatjana Kießling-Wirth , managing director of the Demenzforumdarmstadt, accepted the symbolic donation check. He was presented by Stefanie Sanojca , Head of Headquarters Marketing & Dialog at Merck.
"The club's Plauderbank, the support for families with dementia and the establishment of a new meeting place in the heart of Darmstadt show an example of how social engagement is practiced," said Merck location manager Bürk.
