Science company is committed to running and promoting young people
In its 47th edition on June 25, 2025, the traditional Darmstadt city run a title sponsor : The scientific and technology company Merck, , becomes the main partner of the event, which is one of the oldest city runs in Germany.
The cooperation was recently closed between the organizing ASC Darmstadt , the event agency Wus-Media UG and Merck KGAA . The aim of the partnership is not only the financial support of the city run, but also the promotion of children and adolescents through formats such as the student and bambini run .
Return of a committed partner
Maxi Nieber , responsible for sports sponsoring at Merck, explains:
"We are very happy to be part of this special event again. The city run promotes enthusiasm for running and brings together the community. It is particularly important to us to offer young people a platform for sporting participation through their own runs."
The organizers also welcome the return of the long -standing partner. Wilfried Raatz , head of the city run, sees the cooperation as an opportunity for further development:
"Merck was already an important partner in previous years. Together we want to refine the event and set new accents."
Michael Heist , Board of Sport at ASC Darmstadt, adds:
"Great that Merck will accompany the city's city sport event again-that is a strong signal."
Merck consistently continues engagement in running
The title sponsorship of the city run complements the existing commitment of Merck, for example at the Merck company run in May-the city's largest running event.
Maxi Nieber emphasizes:
"With the support of the city run, we round off our overall package. We look forward to an unforgettable running event - together with the participants, viewers and partners."
The Darmstadt city run will be again in the city center June 25, 2025 . Further information on start times and routes will follow shortly.
