Duo Feliz will perform at the water tower on February 8, 2026
for the "Music in the Tower" on Sunday, February 8, 2026. The duo Feliz at the Darmstadt Water Tower, located at Bismarckstraße 179, starting at 5 p.m. Admission is free.
Founded in 2024, the duo is dedicated to the rich tapestry of South American music, particularly the traditional Brazilian styles of Chorinho, Samba, Bossa Nova, and Baião . Audiences can expect a vibrant and virtuosic program brimming with both melancholy and joie de vivre.
Helene Böhme (vocals), a graduate of the Darmstadt Academy of Music, has worked with numerous ensembles and participated in various productions, including performances at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg under Kent Nagano and at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. In addition to classical repertoire, she is deeply involved with jazz and South American music.
Jean-Peter Braun (guitar) has dedicated himself to Brazilian music for many years. The classically trained guitarist interprets various Brazilian styles in his own arrangements and has released numerous CDs, sheet music editions, and books of musical aphorisms.
The approximately 50-minute concert will feature works by composers including João Gilberto, Tom Jobim, and João Bosco . This Sunday afternoon, the duo will transport the audience to the vibrant musical world of Brazil.
