A benefit concert at the Bessungen boys' school raised a five-figure sum
The association "Musiker helfen Kindern eV" (Musicians Help Children) a donation of €9,855 to the association "Krebskranke und chronisch kranke Kinder Darmstadt eV" (Children with Cancer and Chronic Illness Darmstadt) donation was raised through the traditional benefit concert held at the Bessunger Knabenschule (Bessunger Boys' School) on June 14.
The recipient organization advises and supports families with sick children in Darmstadt, providing both financial assistance and services such as psychomotor therapy, music education , and clay therapy. The organization receives no government funding; its support relies entirely on donations.
Since its founding in 2010, Musiker helfen Kindern e.V. (Musicians Help Children) funds for projects that care for, support, and promote the well-being of sick children and young people. "Everyone involved is passionate and volunteers their time," explained Chairman Jürgen Galsheimer . He added that they are proud to be able to contribute to social cohesion through their commitment.
Vice Chairman Andreas Trägler to the band Great around Town, featuring singer Sandra Patsis , who waived their fee for this year's concert. Numerous companies also supported the event with donations or raffle prizes.
The donation was presented at a formal check presentation ceremony held at the premises of the Darmstadt-based association.
