The municipality and the local VdK branch invite you to the commemoration ceremony for the National Day of Mourning on November 16th.
Nauheim. The municipality of Nauheim and the Nauheim branch of the VdK (Association of Socially Disadvantaged to a public commemoration of Remembrance Day on Sunday, November 16, 2025 , at 11:30 a.m. in the Nauheim cemetery (Königstädter Straße 80). All citizens and interested parties are cordially invited to attend.
The event sends a clear message of remembrance to the victims of war and tyranny and represents a shared commitment to peace and responsibility. The ceremony will be accompanied by clergy from the Catholic and Protestant parishes , who will jointly deliver the memorial address.
A wreath will be laid by Mayor Marc Friedrich and Kurt Herdt , chairman of the Nauheim branch of the VdK (Association of War Victims and Disabled Persons). "The horrors of war and violence must not be forgotten – the National Day of Mourning serves as a reminder of this," emphasized Mayor Friedrich. "We are all responsible for keeping the memory of the victims alive and for ensuring that history does not repeat itself."
