Mayor Benz and City Councilor Wandrey emphasized the significance of the decision: "Naturalization is a clear commitment to our country, our history, culture, and our free and democratic constitutional order based on our Basic Law."
Requirements for naturalization
The criteria for naturalization include, among other things, several years of residence in Germany, achieving a certain language level and commitment to the free and democratic basic order.
