Insights into emigration and new beginnings in Nauheim
Nauheim is participating in the nationwide Day of Archives. On this occasion, the municipal archive will open its doors to visitors Sunday, March 8, 2026 , from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Historical documents relating to local history
The exhibition focuses on selected documents and files from Nauheim's history. Among other things, it displays documents relating to the emigration of Nauheim families in 1853 and 1854 , as well as the resettlement of displaced persons from 1946 onwards .
Municipal archivist Lothar Walbrecht provides insights into archival work and explains historical sources on local history.
Motto: Old homeland – new homeland
The nationwide day of action is organized by the Association of German Archivists. This year's motto is "Old Homeland – New Homeland" .
The municipal archive is located at Adam-Opel-Straße 2–4 on the premises of the company Therapon24.
Registration is not required for the visit.
