The rural women's association and the trade association support children's and youth literature
The Nauheim library was delighted to receive two generous donations in December. Library director Saskia Foit Nauheim Rural Women's Association and the Nauheim Business Association , which will be specifically earmarked for promoting young readers.
The Nauheim Rural Women's Association purchased new books worth €200 , while the Nauheim Business Association donated additional children's and young adult books worth €500 . In both cases, the books were bought at the local stationery store SchriftArt , thus also involving local retailers in the initiatives.
New media primarily expand the range of resources available for children and young people. "Current books create new incentives to read and encourage even infrequent readers to browse in the library," reports Saskia Foit, based on her experience. Promoting young readers is a key focus of the library's work.
The library director expressed her sincere gratitude for the support. The donations demonstrated the close connection between the rural women's association and the business association and the library. The goal is to permanently establish the library as an attractive meeting place for children and young people in Nauheim.
The municipality of Nauheim acknowledges the commitment of the two associations. Mayor Marc Friedrich emphasizes the importance of promoting reading for social participation and sees the new titles as an important contribution to inspiring young people to read.
The Nauheim library is directly connected to the Schwarzbach School . Students can use their breaks to read or borrow books there. In addition to its focus on children's and young adult literature, the library also offers a carefully selected range for adults. Library card holders also have access online lending service
