Information evening showcases opportunities for helpers and those seeking help
The Weiterstadt neighborhood support program has launched. At an information evening on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, interested individuals can learn how the program works and what opportunities exist to get involved as a volunteer or to receive support in daily life.
The neighborhood support program is an initiative of the Weiterstadt Volunteer Agency (WEA). It was gradually established last year. According to the city, a core group of volunteers has already been recruited.
Flexible support in everyday life
The information evening will explain how the neighborhood support program is organized and how helpers and those needing help are connected. An app that assists with this process will also be presented.
This offer is aimed at people who want to volunteer and decide for themselves, flexibly and independently, when and how they can help. People who need support with everyday tasks, as well as their family members, are also welcome.
